Ferdinand 03 (3551728984)

MindStar (9781522965084)

INTRODUCING THE SECOND EDITION OF MINDSTAR 2018. This revision includes a new chapter which directly addresses the transitional experience of physical "death" itself. The primise of the entire book continues to be that this is a consciousness-evolutionary, not a terminal event. Yet because of popular ignorance and fear surrounding it, I felt that MindStar should discuss it more directly.

MindStar explores the mystery of the human soul: what it is, how it can be detected, and how it can be creatively and productively activated. Included is a historical survey of misapprehensions, misuses, and outright rejections of this central, crucial metaphysical core of human existence.

The soul, or "MindStar" as redefined herein, is the key to individual conscious immortality, which is addressed and prescribed clearly and coherently.

My companion books MindWar and FindFar detail the "thought architecture" which is subject to natural and artificial manipulation: subconscious/pattern and conscious/algorithmic thinking. Specifically excluded was conceptual thought, which, being metaphysical, is not subject to such manipulation. This thought comprises the emanations of the MindStar, which this book now examines.

The result of an incarnated lifetime of experience, research, and exploration by the author, MindStar speaks directly and candidly to the questions which have previously been evaded, misarticulated, or condemned as "sacrilegious" or "unscientific" by those fearful of what they might find within themselves.

In short, MindStar is, finally, an "owner's manual" for the ultimate, omnipotent, and immortal you.

The Woman Who Walked into the Sea (9781405924450)

Penguin presents the unabridged, downloadable, audiobook edition of The Women Who Walked into the Sea by Mark Douglas-Home, read by David Monteath. The daughter who nobody wanted learns the truth about the mother she never knew. A page-turning, heart-breaking mystery 'full of surprises ... this is a classic whodunit' (Scotsman). Cal McGill is a unique investigator and oceanographer who uses his expertise to locate things - and sometimes people - lost or missing at sea. His expertise could unravel the haunting mystery of why, twenty-six years ago on a remote Scottish beach, Megan Bates strode out into the cold ocean and let the waves wash her away. Megan's daughter, Violet Wells, was abandoned as a baby on the steps of a local hospital just hours before the mother she never knew took her own life. As McGill is drawn into Violet's search for the truth, he encounters a coastal community divided by obsession and grief, and united only by a conviction that its secrets sho...

The Social Contract (9780140442014)

Man was born free, and he is everywhere in chains These are the famous opening words of a treatise that has not ceased to stir vigorous debate since its first publication in 1762. Rejecting the view that anyone has a natural right to wield authority over others, Rousseau argues instead for a pact, or 'social contract', that should exist between all the citizens of a state and that should be the source of sovereign power. From this fundamental premise, he goes on to consider issues of liberty and law, freedom and justice, arriving at a view of society that has seemed to some a blueprint for totalitarianism, to others a declaration of democratic principles. For more than seventy years, Penguin has been the leading publisher of classic literature in the English-speaking world. With more than 1,700 titles, Penguin Classics represents a global bookshelf of the best works throughout history and across genres and disciplines. Readers trust the series to provide authoritative texts en...

The Metaphysics (9780140446197)

Aristotle's probing inquiry into some of the fundamental problems of philosophy, The Metaphysics is one of the classical Greek foundation-stones of western thought, translated from the with an introduction by Hugh Lawson-Tancred in Penguin Classics. The Metaphysics presents Aristotle's mature rejection of both the Platonic theory that what we perceive is just a pale reflection of reality and the hard-headed view that all processes are ultimately material. He argued instead that the reality or substance of things lies in their concrete forms, and in so doing he probed some of the deepest questions of philosophy: What is existence? How is change possible? And are there certain things that must exist for anything else to exist at all? The seminal notions discussed in The Metaphysics - of 'substance' and associated concepts of matter and form, essence and accident, potentiality and actuality - have had a profound and enduring influence, and laid the foundations for one o...
